About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered General Nurse to join our team as a Senior Staff Nurse on the Acute Medical Unit (AMU). This is a permanent post with a competitive salary and benefits package.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high standards of quality care to patients on the AMU, working closely with the medical teams to ensure effective coordination and safe patient placement. The role will involve taking regular charge of the unit, acting up in the absence of the deputy ward manager and ward manager, and supervising and mentoring junior staff.

We are looking for a nurse who is able to work autonomously and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have experience at Band 5 within an acute medical setting or senior nurse experience in the NHS, and be able to work a flexible rota, including days, nights, and unsocial hours.

  • Registered nurse with active registration
  • Relevant training at level 2 or equivalent
  • ECDL or equivalent
  • Further relevant training at level 3 or equivalent
