Senior Building Site Manager

Murphy is seeking an experienced Senior Building Site Manager to lead our new office site project in Golborne. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from planning to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize resources, set priorities, and manage budgets and timelines
  • Interpret construction phase and site quality plans, ensuring quick mobilization
  • Manage site workers, subcontractors, and general works on site
  • Develop and implement safety documentation, including QA plans, ITPs, and risk assessments
  • Help reduce construction costs and plan future works
  • Monitor progress against project plans and resolve issues
  • Line manage Site Managers and Site Supervisors
  • Review plant, labour, and materials to ensure resources are available for short to medium-term projects
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in large build construction projects, specifically concrete frame buildings
  • Experience working as a Senior Site Manager on projects with a value of £20-40 million
  • Extensive background in Site/Contract Management delivering contracts of similar value
  • HNC Building Studies or a degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Management or relevant experience
  • Solid health and safety knowledge and a health and safety-related qualification
  • SMSTS and NEC Engineering & Construction Contract experience
