Position: Team Leader/Third in Charge - 27 hours per week, Wednesday to Friday (8am-6pm)

As a dynamic and approachable leader, you excel in communication with individuals at all levels, from colleagues to young learners. With prior experience in team leadership, you possess a thorough understanding of the essential standards and regulations that our nursery adheres to, including the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Ofsted guidelines, and Health and Safety protocols.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • A full and relevant Early Years qualification – Level 3 or higher.
  • In-depth knowledge of the EYFS and Ofsted inspection criteria.
  • Experience in managing teams and addressing employee-related matters.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Familiarity with employment laws, including equal opportunities legislation.
  • Certification in safeguarding and pediatric first aid.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring exemplary implementation of the EYFS across the team.
  • Providing daily leadership and management for the nursery team.
  • Participating in staff recruitment processes, including shortlisting and interviewing.
  • Assisting with social media engagement and marketing initiatives.
  • Serving as a key person and role model for team members.
  • Encouraging a fun and engaging environment.
