About the Role

We are seeking an experienced People Data & Insights Manager to lead our People Data & Analytics team at City Football Group. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data-driven strategies to inform business decisions and drive employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the People Data & Analytics team, establishing annual plans to grow the function and ensure the team's professional development and success.
  • Understand and assess data and reporting needs across the People function and wider business, ensuring our analytics meet these requirements.
  • Own and maintain the People data model, ensuring it is robust, accurate, and aligned with CFG's target systems and data architecture.
  • Build and implement a robust methodology for the effective delivery of data and insights projects, ensuring they meet business needs and strategic objectives.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for People analytics within the business, tailoring data delivery to meet the needs of various stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the Finance team to improve People forecasts, particularly regarding resource, costs, and workforce planning.
  • Develop models and analytics that provide clear, actionable insights to support financial and operational planning.
  • Lead the development and implementation of data automation processes to streamline the collection, analysis, and reporting of People data.
  • Collaborate with the Technology team and other relevant stakeholders to define data requirements, support data migration, and establish protocols for ongoing master data management.
Requirements
  • Proven experience managing a People Data & Analytics function in a fast-paced environment.
  • Expertise with HR Information Systems, demonstrating proficiency in managing master data and numerical insights.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to simplify complex data for diverse audiences, and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong project management capabilities, with a track record of delivering data projects on time and within budget.
  • Familiarity with SuccessFactors or similar HR systems, and a strong understanding of HR KPIs and SLAs.
  • Proficiency in data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for impactful reporting.
  • Experience leading change initiatives related to data processes and technology implementations.
  • Relevant qualifications in business process analysis (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) and/or project management (e.g., PRINCE2, Scrum).
  • In-depth knowledge of data governance principles, including familiarity with databases, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
