Maintenance Engineer

Permanent Futures is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineering Apprentice to join our team in the West Midlands. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment.
Job Summary:We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled individual to take on the role of Maintenance Engineering Apprentice. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out proactive and reactive maintenance duties, fault finding, and breakdown repairs. You will work closely with our engineering team to ensure that all equipment is running at peak performance and that our manufacturing unit is operating efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out planned electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault finding, and breakdown repairs, installation, and modification to plant.
- Maintain and repair plant and equipment to high engineering, quality, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Ensure all engineering work is carried out efficiently and effectively, in accordance with good manufacturing practice, health and safety legislation, and current company standards.
- Fault diagnose and complete breakdown repairs of process equipment, packaging equipment, and site services.
- Undertake training and up-skilling programmes as directed by business needs to keep abreast of technological advancements and maintain skill level.
- Facilitate a speedy response to all plant stoppages and help plan/implement modifications to new and existing equipment.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Time served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline, holding an electrical engineering HND/HNC/BTech/ONC/C and G Level 3 qualifications or higher.
