Job Title: Maintenance Engineering Apprentice Level 3

Permanent Futures is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team in the West Midlands. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing unit.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical maintenance, with a proven track record of completing tasks efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks, including fault finding and breakdown repairs.
  2. Maintain and repair plant and equipment to high engineering, quality, safety, and hygiene standards.
  3. Ensure all engineering work is carried out in accordance with good manufacturing practice, health and safety legislation, and company standards.
  4. Fault diagnose and complete breakdown repairs of process equipment, packaging equipment, and site services.
  5. Undertake training and up-skilling programs to stay up-to-date with technological advancements and maintain skill level.
  6. Facilitate a speedy response to all plant stoppages and help plan/implement modifications to new and existing equipment.
Requirements:
  1. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  2. Time served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline, holding an electrical engineering HND/HNC/BTech/ONC/C and G Level 3 qualifications or higher.
