Data Engineer - Permanent Role - £36k - £38k (depending on experience)

Our company, Construkt RS, is a leading provider of ICT services with over 28 years of experience in the industry. We have worked on numerous projects, ranging from listed buildings to state-of-the-art data centers. Due to our recent expansion, we are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing data and voice communications cabling and associated equipment in both on-site and workshop environments. They will work closely with senior data cabling engineers, the office manager, and the company director to ensure seamless project execution.

The primary role of the Data Engineer will involve installing Copper Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6a cabling, running cables in bundles under flooring, baskets, tray work, and other infrastructure. They will also be responsible for cable terminations, both panel and outlet ends, and assist senior engineers as needed.

As a member of our team, the Data Engineer will be expected to drive a company vehicle and may be liable for any excess charges incurred due to claims. After an initial three-month trial period, any necessary training requirements will be identified and carried out to enhance the engineer's knowledge and job skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install data and voice communications cabling and associated equipment
  • Work closely with senior engineers and the office manager
  • Install Copper Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6a cabling
  • Perform cable terminations and assist senior engineers
  • Drive a company vehicle and adhere to company policies

Requirements:

  • 2 to 3 years of industry experience
  • Full UK License
  • Data comms specialist card (ECS)
  • Clean Background (Security Checks will be carried out - Level 3 SC Cleared)
  • Previous data cabling experience, including testing and using Fluke test equipment
