We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Behavioural Support Specialist to join our team at a SEN Primary School in Bedford. The successful candidate will provide 1:1 support to students with severe and complex learning difficulties and health needs.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of GCSE qualifications in English and Maths and prior experience working in a similar role within an educational setting. They will be responsible for supporting class Senior LSA's and Teachers with the preparation of resources, providing 1:1 support, and reporting on progress using an evidence-based approach.

The successful candidate will be a team player who is able to work closely with class Teachers to ensure the students' wellbeing and ability to function and engage in learning. They will also be responsible for understanding and implementing Safeguarding policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of GCSE qualifications in English and Maths.

Experience:

Prior experience working in a similar role within an educational setting would be ideal.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Initiative to take proactive actions
  • Organisational skills to manage tasks efficiently
  • Prioritisation skills to handle multiple responsibilities
