The JM Longbridge Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Systems Manager to oversee the optimization and running of our financial systems, focusing on Aptitude and Oracle. This role involves troubleshooting, implementing system changes, and supporting Financial Controllers in investigations and testing to maintain financial accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and updating of financial systems, specifically Aptitude.
- Reviewing and refining procedure and policies for financial systems.
- Performing root cause analysis and resolving issues with implemented financial systems.
- Implementing changes to financial systems in a controlled manner with appropriate testing and review.
- Ensuring that the impact of changes to financial systems on business processes are understood.
- Supporting testing of any changes to financial systems.
Requirements:
- Strong academic background including a Professional Accounting qualification – at least 7 years post-qualification experience.
- Strong expertise within Insurance or Reinsurance.
- Advanced experience and knowledge of Oracle Financials.
- Proven experience in managing and improving financial systems, ensuring their alignment with business needs.
- Proficiency in other financial systems and tools, such as Excel, Aptitude, and data analytics software.
