About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Consultant Obstetrician to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have a special interest in Fetal Medicine and will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general obstetric care to patients, including antenatal and postnatal care.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for fetal medicine, in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and develop treatment plans.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols.
  • Supervise and mentor junior doctors and other healthcare professionals.
Person Specification
  • CCST/CCT (or equivalent) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
  • Demonstrable skills in department management and leadership.
  • Experience in fetal medicine and obstetrics, including ultrasound scanning and fetal monitoring.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate complex information to patients and colleagues.
