Job Title: Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist

Location: Wollongong

Job Summary:

The Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist will provide expert medical care to patients in the Obstetrics and Gynaecology (O&G) Service within the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District. The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of specialist services to emergency patients, inpatients, and outpatients at the relevant Hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert medical assessment and management of patients in the O&G Service
  • Support the development of O&G services within the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District
  • Support and facilitate a culture of learning and best practice within the department
  • Support and develop O&G research within the department

Selection Criteria:

  1. Specialist registration or eligible for specialist registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) and/or equivalent specialist recognition
