Job Title: Obstetrician and Gynaecologist Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to join our team at Medacs in Wollongong, Australia.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide expert medical assessment and management of patients in the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Service within the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist services to emergency patients, inpatients, and outpatients at the relevant Hospital.
  • Ensure provision of high-quality O&G services to all patients within the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District.
  • Support the development of O&G services, facilitate a culture of learning and best practice, and develop O&G research within the department.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Specialist registration or eligibility for specialist registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) and/or equivalent specialist recognition.
