Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Software & System Integration Engineer to join our Sensor & Compute team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in developing high-performance sensor drivers and integrating complex vehicle systems. Your expertise will enable our software to be developed and tested on our autonomous vehicles, ensuring seamless performance and safety.

Responsibilities
  • Integrate sensor systems into our autonomous vehicle platform, ensuring seamless communication and data exchange.
  • Develop and maintain high-performance sensor drivers, collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze test results and identify performance limitations.
  • Establish and manage test bench infrastructure for evaluating sensor performance, including hardware and software components.
  • Work closely with our autonomous vehicle team to demonstrate passion for robotics and autonomous systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze test results, identify performance limitations, and implement corrective actions.
  • Investigate the combination of the autonomous software stack and new hardware to ensure functionality is as intended.
  • Use your strong data exploration experience to ensure each new platform is delivered to the same Oxa standard.
  • Write and perform test cases for these systems.
  • Understand the safety and legislative requirements for your work.
  • Debug electrical and hardware problems for new components integrated on test vehicles.
  • Contribute to internal process documents around the design, test, build, and sign-off of new platforms.
  • Contribute to internal user documentation for the commissioning process for repeat vehicles.
  • Produce Field Bugs documents and participate in agile planning processes (Jira).
  • Contribute to Autonomous Vehicle Daily Checklists.
Requirements
  • A degree in Engineering or a related subject.
  • A background in Automotive, Robotics, or a similar industry in System Engineering.
  • Familiarity with C++ and Python scripting, or similar for automation.
  • Knowledge of automotive and robotics communication systems.
  • Knowledge of key elements of autonomous systems.
  • A deep understanding of complex systems and an appreciation of how components interact with each other and the real world through hardware interfaces.
  • Ability to communicate clearly on technical matters and work well with multiple stakeholders across several teams.
