About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to lead our AAC service in Powys Teaching Health Board. As a Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality AAC services to patients across various settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the AAC service, providing expert advice and second opinions for adults and children with communication difficulties.
  • Deliver training in AAC to patients, families, speech & language therapy colleagues, and other health and social care professionals.
  • Coordinate the AAC service within Powys Teaching Health Board, promoting and evaluating the service.
  • Work closely with the National Centre for Electronic and Assistive Technology to deliver an excellent and equitable service.

Requirements
  • Recognised qualification degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • HCPC registered.
  • Evidence of relevant training at post-graduate level.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of assessment tools relevant to area of clinical expertise.
  • Clinical supervision experience.
