Machining Technician Apprenticeship Opportunity

About the Role
Westinghouse Electric Company LLC. is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as an Advanced Machining Technician Apprentice. This four-year apprenticeship program is designed to provide individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in a variety of roles within our engineering department.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret technical drawings, patterns, templates, and specifications to mark out, machine high-quality complex components using a broad range of processes.
- Inspect components produced and adjust the machining equipment or program and tooling to ensure components meet quality requirements.
- Work in a variety of site locations, completing a variety of modules covering plan and prepare sequence for machining activities, ensuring that the correct tooling, work holding, and materials are used.
- Operate thermal joining equipment to join metal parts using a range of appropriate techniques to the standards required by the specifications for the fabrication activity being carried out.
Requirements
- GCSE qualifications in maths, English, and a science subject at grades A-C or 5-9 or predicted to be at this level or equivalent qualifications.
- Enthusiasm for problem-solving and a motivation for a role in engineering.
