In light of their ongoing growth and expansion, they are seeking a CNC Programmer/Operator to enhance their operations at their main facility.

This position is full-time, with working hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Thursday, and 8 AM to 12:30 PM on Friday. The role offers a competitive pay rate of £17.50 per hour, with ample overtime opportunities available at a rate of 1.5x.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, program, and operate CNC machinery to execute precision machining tasks.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ascertain machining operations.
  • Select and install cutting tools, fixtures, and machine accessories based on specifications.
  • Monitor machine performance to ensure optimal operation and make necessary adjustments.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and precision using advanced measuring instruments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with CNC machines or programming as they arise.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Possesses a solid mechanical understanding and knowledge of machining principles.
  • Demonstrates strong proficiency in CAD software for CNC programming.
  • Exhibits expertise in FANUC control systems.
  • Is a confident and skilled programmer.
  • Experience with Doosan machinery is advantageous but not essential.
  • Has experience in tooling design and selection.
