Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fire and Security Installation Specialist to join our team at ZipRecruiter. As a Fire Alarm Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation and configuration of fire alarm systems, CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control in accordance with industry standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Install and configure fire alarm systems, CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems in accordance with industry standards and project specifications.
  2. Collaborate with project teams to meet installation deadlines and quality requirements.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to fire alarm systems.
  4. Adhere to relevant regulations and BS5839 Part 1 standards.

Requirements:

  1. Proven proficiency in electrical wiring and equipment installation.
  2. Hands-on experience with fire alarm systems installation.
  3. In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and BS5839 Part 1.
  4. Certifications in fire alarm installation and engineering are highly desirable.
  5. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

What We Offer:

  1. A 4-day workweek (Monday-Thursday) with a 1 in 8 ROTA to work on Fridays, with a focus on school holidays.
  2. A 34-hour workweek, with overtime paid at 1.5 rate.
  3. Door-to-door travel, resulting in a minimum of 4 hours of overtime per week.
  4. This is an installation role with a higher hourly rate to compensate for the 4-day workweek.
  5. Competitive salaries ranging from £33,000 upwards, dependent on experience.
  6. Coverage area includes Brighton to Southampton, with occasional travel to Bournemouth.
  7. A strong emphasis on providing excellent customer service while on-site.
