About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at The Aurora Group. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our children with special educational needs (SEN) to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality educational activities and experiences to pupils with SEN.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of each pupil.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to pupils, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to identify and address any barriers to learning, ensuring that all pupils have access to a broad and balanced curriculum.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a safe and healthy learning environment, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or above in Support Work for Teaching and Learning in Schools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances, prioritizing the needs of the pupils and the school.
