Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a school in Harpuhey. In this vital role, you will provide tailored 1:1 support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including those facing challenges related to behaviour, ADHD, and autism.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Offer customised assistance to children with SEN, adapting activities to meet their unique needs and enhancing their learning experience.
  • Use effective strategies to help children manage their emotions and interactions, fostering a calm and supportive atmosphere.
  • Work closely with the classroom teacher to modify lesson plans and resources, ensuring full participation for all students.
  • Ensure the safety and inclusion of children during outdoor activities and breaks.
  • Keep accurate records of student progress and behaviour, regularly communicating with the classroom teacher and SENCO.
  • Collaborate with fellow teaching assistants and professionals to create a cohesive support network for students.
  • Uphold safeguarding policies, prioritizing the well-being of all children.

Requirements:
  • Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
  • Have an enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to apply for one.
  • Provide two professional childcare references.
