Role Overview

As a Finance Project Associate, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the successful execution of our client's financial transformation initiative. This project encompasses the transition of ledger systems and the establishment of robust operational frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ledger Transition: Assist in the migration from the existing SUN system to SAP, ensuring a seamless conversion and cut-over process.
  • Operational Processes: Develop and implement essential operational procedures and controls, including the management of journals, reconciliations, and comprehensive documentation for key processes.
  • Reporting Development: Contribute to the construction of Lloyd's reporting from SAP Financial Warehouse.
  • Data Migration: Oversee the transfer of End User Computing (EUC) applications from our client's infrastructure to the designated networks.
  • Team Support: Provide backfill assistance to the finance team as needed, ensuring continuity in operations.
  • Regulatory Reporting: Support the preparation of Lloyd's regulatory submissions, including QMA, QMB, Pillar 3, GQD, TPD, international tax, and SITUS reporting.
  • Ledger Maintenance: Engage in the quarterly preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
Required Skills

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Advanced Excel Proficiency: Strong skills in Excel are essential for data analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge of Accounting Standards: Familiarity with US and UK GAAP, as well as Lloyd's regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Understanding of Financial Processes: A solid grasp of financial operations and controls is necessary.
  • Insight into Lloyd's Accounting: Knowledge of Lloyd's accounting practices and procedures is advantageous.
