About the Role

As a key member of the Trading and Optimisation team at Drax Group, you will play a crucial role in supporting and directing traders towards value, enabling them to make quick and informed decisions. Your primary responsibility will be to provide robust fundamental analysis, engage in trading strategies, develop and maintain models, review past analysis, and own pricing tools and trading-decision models.

About You

You will need to have a degree-level education in a subject along the lines of science, maths, economics, engineering, or other numerate subjects. You will also need to have working knowledge of UK power markets and experience with statistical and fundamental modelling using IT techniques such as SQL, Python, Excel, and Business Intelligence tools. If you have a good understanding of the methods underlying linear and mixed integer programming with experience of building models and solving them with commercial optimisers, you will be set up for quick success in the role.
