About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, maintaining the privacy and dignity of patients
  • Work alongside registered nurses to provide essential nursing care for patients
  • Assist patients with daily living tasks, including washing, toileting, and meal preparation
  • Help patients with mobility needs and provide pressure area care
  • Provide emotional support to patients and their families
  • Take and record patients' vital signs, identifying and escalating changes to a patient's condition to the registered nurse
Requirements
  • Level 3 qualification (e.g. A levels, NVQ Level 3) or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work as a member of a team and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills
  • Commitment to a caring approach to patients and relatives
