We are seeking a multi-skilled maintenance engineer (Electrical or Mechanical bias) to join our team at Permanent Futures. This role offers a great benefits package and is expanding its production capability while aiming to drive a culture change within our Engineering Team.
About the RoleAs a multi-skilled maintenance engineer, you will be responsible for planning and monitoring machine performance, working with the planning department to negotiate machine availability, and monitoring failure. You will also support external contractors and provide technical production support when required.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and monitor machine performance to ensure optimal efficiency.
- Work with the planning department to negotiate machine availability and optimize production schedules.
- Monitor machine failure and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Support external contractors and provide technical assistance as needed.
- Provide technical production support to ensure smooth operation of production lines.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and adopt a clean-as-you-go policy.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of HNC/NVQ level 3 in an engineering-related discipline and relevant practical experience. Completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent formal training program is also preferred.
