Position Overview
Procurement Foundry is seeking a Head of Supply Chain Operations for Europe. This role offers the flexibility to work remotely from various locations across Europe, with occasional travel requirements.
Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Demand Fulfillment, Distribution, and Logistics for the EMEA region, the Head of Supply Chain Operations will manage the supply chain functions across Europe, encompassing key markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement supply chain management strategies, translating them into actionable plans.
- Oversee budget management and performance metrics for the European supply chain.
- Act as a representative of Supply Chain Management in various commercial leadership teams.
- Manage demand forecasting and facilitate local and regional demand reviews, supporting Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP).
- Oversee order management and fulfillment processes across the region.
- Coordinate logistics operations, including partnerships with third-party logistics providers and freight forwarding services.
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and trade compliance within the region.
- Utilize performance and cost analytics to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all supply chain activities.
This role is pivotal in executing strategic projects aligned with the company's objectives, ensuring that supply chain operations meet commercial and financial targets. The position serves as a crucial link to the regional leadership teams and oversees several supply chain management leads.
The Head of Supply Chain Operations for Europe will provide leadership and guidance to team members, ensuring adherence to quality standards and compliance while continuously seeking operational efficiencies through innovative solutions.
As the organization undergoes transformation, this role will play a key part in ensuring that service levels and operational targets are maintained during the transition.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in managing complex supply chains.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, industrial engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated success in managing relationships with commercial entities, with a strong background in sales and strategy.
- Proven experience in leading large teams and implementing employee satisfaction improvement plans.
- Deep understanding of regional supply chain environments, including distribution and warehouse operations.
- Experience in transformation initiatives and a strong record of continuous improvement.
- Ability to manage budgets effectively and drive operational efficiencies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage relationships at all levels.
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a focus on innovation and agility.
