Assistant Financial Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Assistant Financial Accountant to join our team at Arora Group Head Office.

The successful candidate will support the Treasury Manager and wider Finance Team in two main areas of responsibility:

Treasury and Intercompany
  • Assist with the management of cash requirements for multiple bank accounts.
  • Contribute to weekly cash reporting and bank account administration.
  • Ensure accuracy and validity of payment transactions on group bank accounts.
  • Analyse intercompany funding needs and provide recommendations.
  • Manage intercompany funding flows and reconcile balances.
Fixed Assets
  • Manage fixed asset registers for all group companies, including regular reviews of useful lives and depreciation rates.
  • Post fixed asset additions, disposals, and calculate profit/loss on disposal.
  • Run and post monthly depreciation and prepare fixed asset reconciliations.
  • Assist with fixed asset disclosures in statutory accounts.

Key Skills Required:

  • Partially or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics finance package is advantageous.
  • Experience with fixed asset accounting and bank account management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive and able to work with minimal supervision.
