Job Title: Traffic Operator

We are seeking a skilled Traffic Operator to join our team at our Ipswich site. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods and ensuring timely delivery to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Dealing with multiple drivers and coordinating their schedules
  • Communicating with ports and booking delivery slots
  • Using a Transport system called TOPS to manage driver start and finish times
  • Chasing drivers for ETAs and ensuring they are on time
  • Rerouting jobs as needed and checking PODs for accuracy
  • Speaking to customers about possible delays and providing ETAs
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Traffic Operator
  • Confident and clear communication skills
  • Excellent UK geographical knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Organized and flexible with a willingness to meet business demands
