Job Description

Pharmacy Manager

Nuffield Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead our pharmacy team and ensure the safe and effective management of medicines across the hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and guidance on medicines management to ensure that processes across all clinical departments are safe, cost-effective, and compliant with regulations.
  • Lead, motivate, and effectively manage the pharmacy team to deliver high-quality clinical care and advice to patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure the safe and effective use of medicines.
  • Chair the Medicines Management Forum to ensure that medicines management is a key priority across the hospital.
  • Optimize the management of antimicrobials to minimize the occurrence of hospital-acquired infections.
  • Implement and monitor Department of Health guidance on controlled drugs use and ensure the CD audit is completed quarterly.
  • Manage errors, complaints, and incidents related to medicines in line with Nuffield Health guidelines.
  • Support the development of other healthcare professionals and deliver medicines-focused training as required.

Requirements:

  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Leadership/managerial experience in a pharmacy setting.
  • Awareness and knowledge of oncology pharmacy.
