About the Role

The Physiotherapist will be responsible for delivering individualized player development and injury reduction strategies, as well as managing injury risk and enhancing individual team performance.

The successful candidate will contribute to the design and implementation of effective athlete monitoring strategies to ensure long-term athletic development of all Women's players.

The Physiotherapist will play a key role in the multi-disciplinary team working alongside the Women's Football Medical Team to improve and extend the evidence-based medical provision and rehabilitation practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver individualized player development and injury reduction strategies
  • Manage injury risk and enhance individual team performance
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of effective athlete monitoring strategies
  • Work with the Women's Football Medical Team to improve and extend evidence-based medical provision and rehabilitation practices

Requirements

  • BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy (minimum 2:1)
  • Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Registration
  • Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) member
  • Up-to-date full Advanced Emergency Aid qualification (Level 5 ATMMIF)
  • UKAD Clean Sport Advisor
  • Appropriate medical indemnity to treat/advise players
  • Extensive experience of working within a professional team sport and providing Physiotherapy services to high-performance elite athletes
  • Ability to plan, deliver treatment, and provide rehabilitation of sports injuries
  • Comprehensive understanding of maturation, long-term athletic development, and performance demands of a professional female athlete
  • Proactive, calm, and positive attitude
  • Clear and concise communication skills
  • Full, UK driving license
