Role Overview

EdEx is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at an 'Outstanding' Primary School in Southwark. As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and contributing to the school's mission to provide a high-quality education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support children with SEN on a 1:1 and small group basis, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Assist class teachers in delivering core subject material, ensuring a smooth and effective learning experience for all students.
  • Monitor the progress of pupils and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Collaborate with the school's SEN team to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.

Requirements

  • A graduate with a strong academic background, preferably in a field related to education or psychology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN, either in a school or community setting.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of students with SEN.
