Service Area: Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)
Facility Overview
Cygnet Bury encompasses a substantial facility with 15 wards distributed across three distinct hospitals. Our site is supported by a Regional Lead for Therapeutic Rehabilitation and three Head Specialists to oversee the various services available.
Clinical Duties: You will be tasked with evaluating and addressing occupational challenges for a maximum of 12 clients. Currently, we have an opening within our CAMHS services at our Forestwood facility.
In this position, you will collaborate with a supportive team of specialists experienced in the CAMHS domain. Our team is committed not only to the care and treatment of our clients but also to nurturing the development of student practitioners and those in preceptorship roles.
Our CAMHS unit at Forestwood caters to young individuals requiring Psychiatric Intensive Care (PICU), Acute Care, or support in a low secure environment. You will engage with a comprehensive multidisciplinary team to assist each young person in enhancing their skills and navigating our clinical care model from admission to discharge.
Each ward is staffed with its own specialist, complemented by an assistant covering two wards.
All our services prioritize therapeutic interventions and recovery, focusing on assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation. The objective is to effectively guide clients through the service care pathway, transitioning them into the least restrictive environment while minimizing the risk of readmission.
Preceptorship & Induction Program:
We provide a 12-month preceptorship program designed to support and solidify essential therapeutic skills. This program has received commendations from Band 5 professionals who have found it instrumental in their transition from student to confident practitioner.
Therapeutic Rehabilitation Directorate
Under the guidance of our Directors, we support over 150 specialists in therapeutic rehabilitation. By working collaboratively as a large team, we offer mutual support across the organization, with opportunities to engage in specialized interest groups and contribute to service development.
Each service line is led by a Clinical Lead Specialist who is responsible for advancing evidence-based practices and establishing a cohesive therapeutic pathway.
We ensure that our specialists have a platform to voice their insights through participation in service model development, leveraging the expertise of our clinical leads.
