Main Responsibilities
- Participate in training sessions that enhance both departmental and personal knowledge and growth.
- Execute all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the organization's policies and procedures, including Health & Safety regulations.
- Manage stationary inventory and inform the supervisor of needs, as well as order supplies through the designated procurement system.
- Assist in onboarding new team members.
- Coordinate with other hospital departments, such as Medical Records and Facilities Management.
- Act as the first point of contact for visitors to the department when necessary.

Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities
- Engage effectively and courteously with all staff and families.
- Relay any messages pertinent to the role to the appropriate individual promptly.
- Adhere to the organization's Equal Opportunities policy within the workplace.
- Respond to information requests and, when appropriate, share information with others while maintaining confidentiality.
- Provide administrative coverage for the ward, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
- Ensure timely processing of admissions, discharge summaries, and notifications to general practitioners upon discharge, ensuring all data is accurately recorded.
- Support the Discharge Team as needed.

- Experience working within the NHS framework.
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
- Clear and effective communication abilities.
- Proficient keyboard skills.

- Understanding of the ward clerk's responsibilities.
- Ability to organize files in both alphabetical and numerical order.
