About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced nurse to join our team as a Band 7 Sister/Charge Nurse in the General Intensive Care Unit at the Bristol Royal Infirmary. The successful candidate will have extensive experience of current intensive care practice and a strong background of clinical governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of staff to manage absence, appraisals, development, and performance.
- Work closely with the matron and employee services to support the development and opportunities for all staff.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality care for patients with complex needs.
- Act as a clinical expert and provide guidance and support to colleagues.
Requirements
- Significant relevant clinical and management experience.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to the development and provision of high-quality nursing care.
