Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician

As a Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician, you will be part of our team responsible for maintaining and optimizing technologies in the Global Amazon Warehouse & Delivery Network. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our equipment, working closely with our operational team and customers to identify and resolve issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and regulations, prioritizing the well-being of yourself and others in the workplace.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance on a range of equipment, utilizing your technical expertise to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
- Respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns, communicating clearly with affected teams and working efficiently to resolve the issue.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by analyzing breakdowns and providing feedback and suggestions for improvements through your line manager.
- Deliver high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
- Collaborate with Senior Reliability Engineering Technicians to share knowledge and best practices, and to support the development of your skills and expertise.
- Manage contractors and external partners, ensuring that they are working effectively and efficiently to support our operations.
Requirements
- Served a full engineering indentured apprenticeship and/or qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent (must hold Level 3 qualification with satisfactory Guided Learning Hours).
- Multi-skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines, with experience of planned preventative maintenance systems.
- Experience of fault finding within MHE (Material Handling Equipment)/Automation systems, and interpreting both mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters, and other related equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Apprentice Trained, HNC, HND, BSc, BEng, or equivalent qualifications.
- Experience of high voltage switching, sortation machines, and other specialized equipment.
- Experience of maintaining/configuring bar code scanners, print and apply machines, and other related equipment.
- Experience in fault finding on building equipment, such as HVAC, Dock Doors, plumbing, and general building maintenance tasks.
