Opportunity for a Clinician to Join Our Cardiology Team
We are seeking a suitably qualified clinician to join our enthusiastic cardiology team at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop the provision of general cardiology and electrophysiology clinics, cardiology in-reach and pacing services.
Main ResponsibilitiesSupporting the Cardiac Pacing Service
The successful candidate will support the cardiac pacing service at Kingston Hospital, with a long-term aspiration to provide complex pacing on site. This will involve providing arrhythmia and general cardiology clinics, covering inpatient care on the cardiology ward, and delivering cardiology in-reach services.
Participating in Service Development
The successful applicant will participate in plans to deliver a future seven-day cardiology service at Kingston Hospital, working closely with our tertiary centre partner to deliver timely advanced cardiac rhythm management for local patients.
RequirementsEssential Qualifications and Experience
- Background in general cardiology with subspecialty qualification in cardiac electrophysiology
- Extensive experience of general Cardiology, simple and complex cardiac device implantation
- Diagnostic cardiac catheterisation
- Evidence of Quality Improvement using Audit and Clinical Outcomes
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Cardiac electrophysiology experience
- MD/PhD or MSc
- Experience of clinical audit and research
- Experience in supervising medical trainees
Leadership and Communication Skills
- Demonstrate leadership skills within a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to motivate staff, to facilitate appropriate changes in clinical practice and to work as part of a team
- Effective communication skills, enthusiasm and approachability
