Job Title: Head of Grounds

Job Summary:

Bradfield College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our Grounds Maintenance team. As Head of Grounds, you will be responsible for maintaining, conserving, and enhancing the sports facilities and grounds at the College.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Grounds Maintenance team to ensure the highest standards of grounds management.
  • Develop and implement seasonal and weather-dependent schedules of work, including snow clearance and salting paths and roads.
  • Oversee the provision of sports surfaces and the setting-up and dismantling of sports equipment.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of health and safety and promote a positive culture towards it.
  • Manage a team and ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • GMA Level 4 qualification or equivalent.
  • Full UK driving licence with trailer entitlement.
  • Previous experience in grounds management and team leadership.
  • Extensive knowledge of sports turf management.

Working Hours:

The role is full-time, averaging 40 hours per week with a summer and winter work schedule.
