About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our Corporate Office team at Pepco Group. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for maintaining the financial records and ensuring the accuracy of our financial statements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, expenses, and business banking.
  • Prepare reconciliations for balance sheet accounts on a regular basis to ensure accurate records are kept.
  • Support the production of monthly management accounts, including actual vs. budget/forecast analysis for income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow.
  • Use FCCS (Group reporting consolidation tool) to ensure that monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts are appropriately included within the Group reporting tool.
  • Prepare the Corporate office VAT and Corporate Tax compliance.
  • Prepare a number of key finance controls which impact the Corporate office entity on a monthly basis.
  • Work closely with Group treasury to ensure correct recording of intercompany loans, external loans, and derivatives within the Corporate Office entities.
  • Prepare group reporting for Corporate Office entity and some other small Group entities, including additional disclosure information.
  • Support the annual statutory audit deliverables for the Corporate office entities and other small entities.
  • Support the management of Corporate departmental costs by providing cost reports to ensure accurate and timely information in reviewing Corporate office budget performance.
  • Support on the IFRS 16 implementation for Corporate Office to ensure that lease agreements are included appropriately.
Requirements
  • Recently Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) or a candidate who is currently completing their qualification.
  • Experience working with financial systems (preferably Oracle Fusion).
  • Solid understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP accounting and ability to work with financial systems (preferably Oracle Fusion).
  • Understanding how financial statements are prepared.
