Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Manager to join our team at Pepco Group. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing financial support to our Head of Group Reporting, Group Financial Controller, and CFO.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets for the Corporate Office entity, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Accounting and Reporting: Oversee the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, expenses, business banking, and month-end close processes.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Review and analyze monthly management accounts, including actual vs. budget/forecast analysis for income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow.
  • Group Reporting: Use FCCS (Group reporting consolidation tool) to ensure that monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts are accurately included within the Group reporting tool.
  • Tax and Compliance: Review and ensure compliance with Corporate Tax and VAT requirements.
  • Intercompany Transactions: Work closely with Group treasury to ensure correct recording of intercompany loans, external loans, and derivatives within the Corporate Office entities.
  • Statutory Audit: Manage the annual statutory audit deliverables for the Corporate office entities and other small entities.
  • Cash Management: Review and analyze the weekly cash forecast and actual submissions to Group treasury.
  • Cost Management: Manage Corporate departmental costs, including setting budgets, maintaining tight cost control, reforecasting, and analyzing risks and opportunities.
  • Financial Presentations: Present annual Corporate Centre Budgets to Group CEO/CFO and provide support to Finance Leadership Team for their functional budgets and forecasts.
  • Project Support: Provide ad-hoc support and analysis for Group projects, including IFRS 16 implementation.
Requirements
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
  • Solid understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP accounting and ability to work with financial systems (preferably Oracle Fusion)
  • Understanding of financial statement preparation
  • Good understanding of operating in a public company
