We are seeking a part-time Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner to join our Bright Horizons Harpenden Luton Road Day Nursery and Preschool in Harpenden, Hertfordshire.
Our nursery is Ofsted rated 'Good' and is situated in a beautiful converted Victorian house with seven spacious rooms spread over three floors, including a 'must-see' log cabin nursery room. The nursery also benefits from a large outdoor play area which the children enjoy regularly.
The nursery opening hours are 7:30am-6:00pm, Monday to Friday. For the part-time role, we can be flexible to consider three or four days a week, Monday to Thursday. A typical shift pattern would be 8:00am-4:30pm, 9:00am-5:30pm, 9:30am-6:00pm or similar.

What You'll Be Doing- Plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities, tailored to each of your key children, to encourage their development towards key milestones.
- Develop and maintain strong parent/ carer partnerships
- Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding
- Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment
- Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential)
- Previous experience working with children (ideally as a Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, or similar)
- Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
- Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
- Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
