Nursery Overview

Bright Horizons Harpenden Luton Road Day Nursery and Preschool is a reputable and Ofsted-rated 'Good' nursery situated in Harpenden, Hertfordshire. Our nursery is set in a beautiful converted Victorian house with seven spacious rooms spread over three floors, including a 'must-see' log cabin nursery room. The nursery also benefits from a large outdoor play area which the children enjoy regularly.

Job Summary

We are seeking a part-time Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner to join our team at Bright Horizons Harpenden Luton Road. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, creating, and implementing engaging activities tailored to each child's needs, promoting their development towards key milestones. The role also involves developing and maintaining strong parent/carer partnerships, promoting child welfare, protection, health, and safety, and working with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy, and safe environment.

Requirements

  • Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
  • Previous experience working with children (ideally as a Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, or similar)
  • Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
  • Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
