Nursery: Bright Horizons Harpenden Luton Road Day Nursery and Preschool
Salary: Starting from £25,263.34 per annum (full-time equivalent, dependent on qualification and experience)
Location: Harpenden, AL5
We are seeking a part-time Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner to join our team at Bright Horizons Harpenden Luton Road Day Nursery and Preschool in Harpenden, Hertfordshire.
Our nursery is Ofsted-rated 'Good' and is situated in a beautiful converted Victorian house with seven spacious rooms spread over three floors. The nursery also benefits from a large outdoor play area.
The nursery operates from 7:30am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. We can be flexible to consider three or four days a week, Monday to Thursday. A typical shift pattern would be 8:00am-4:30pm, 9:00am-5:30pm, 9:30am-6:00pm, or similar.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, create, implement, and reflect on engaging activities tailored to each child's development towards key milestones
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with parents and carers
- Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health, and safety, and safeguarding
- Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy, and safe environment
Requirements:
- Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential)
- Previous experience working with children (ideally in a nursery setting)
- Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
- Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with colleagues and parents
- Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with children and adults
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
