Associate Director / CRE Portfolio Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director / CRE Portfolio Manager to join our team at Gold Group. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of loans and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of loans, including balance sheet and CMBS securitizations
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and timelines
  • Work with stakeholders involved in commercial real estate debt and equity investment to provide asset reporting and loan asset management services
  • Carry out credit reporting, annual reviews, and management of watch-list reports
  • Provide advice to client in-house credit functions on issues regarding asset management plans, strategy, and construction financing
  • Monitor, report, and advise key stakeholders on CRE asset management and loan asset management strategies
  • Collect and analyze Borrower reports and other third-party information necessary to compile periodic scheduled loan asset management and collateral reporting
  • Review and analyze development finance documentation, review development cash flow and budget forecasts from Project Monitor reports vs underwriting assumptions
  • Undertake risk assessment of individual loans, underlying collateral, and Borrower to determine risk ratings for each loan
  • Maintain a Watch List of loans considered to be higher risk and provide advice regarding possible remedies and exit strategies
  • Support Lender credit function with details concerning any concession/waiver requests from the Borrower
  • Liaise between Lender's in-house asset management and credit functions and external third-party professionals
