About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Estates and Facilities team, you will be responsible for delivering capital projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commission, project manage, and deliver Trust capital projects, ensuring they meet the required standards and are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop feasibility studies and project briefs, working closely with stakeholders to ensure projects meet the Trust's needs.
  • Manage departmental project staff and external professional consultants, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Liaise with statutory authorities on projects and property management, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Communicate with and provide expert professional advice to key stakeholders, including the Assistant Director (Acting), Building, Capital & Property.
  • Support the delivery of an integrated Capital & Property management function for the Trust, working closely with the Senior Management Team.
  • Lead on the provision of a comprehensive property management service for the Trust, ensuring effective management of Trust assets.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Masters Degree or equivalent knowledge and experience in Building Surveying, Engineering, or a construction-related discipline.
  • Chartered Member of an appropriate building or engineering-related Professional Institution, such as the RICS, CIOB, IHEEM, CIBSE, or RIBA.
  • Postgraduate construction/property management knowledge gained through training and experience to Master's equivalent level.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development and management/leadership development.

Desirable

  • Recognised Project Management qualification.
