A prominent lifestyle brand that offers a diverse range of products, including apparel for women, men, children, as well as footwear and accessories, is in search of a Fashion Merchandising Specialist for a fixed-term contract. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in overseeing departmental performance indicators related to sales, inventory, and markdown strategies. Working collaboratively with the product development team, you will aid in formulating effective product strategies.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop phase-specific plans, taking into account historical trade data and upcoming events.
  • Create a well-balanced and commercially viable product range that aligns with the overarching product strategy.
  • Coordinate seasonal pricing and promotional initiatives in partnership with the buying team.
  • Execute supplier strategies effectively.
  • Anticipate line flows and departmental forecasts to enhance profitability while ensuring optimal stock levels.
  • Recognize trading opportunities and potential risks.
  • Manage order placements with suppliers and oversee stock progression.

Additionally, you will be tasked with leading and inspiring the merchandising team through performance management, personal development initiatives, and appraisals, ensuring that each member understands their role in contributing to the team's success. Previous experience as a Junior Merchandiser or Merchandiser within the retail sector is essential. A comprehensive understanding of the critical path and product lifecycle, alongside strong commercial acumen, is required.
