Salter Grange is seeking a seasoned Commercial Manager to join its team of experts in the construction industry, overseeing high-profile European Data Centre projects.

This role is ideal for an experienced professional looking to take on a challenging position and manage complex and innovative Data Centre projects in mainland Europe.

With a strong pipeline of work and a growing demand for expertise, this position offers the opportunity to be part of a high-performing commercial team and work on cutting-edge construction projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the commercial performance of projects from inception to completion, ensuring accurate and timely submission of commercial reports, and driving projects to deliver the best value solutions, on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and review the commercial performance of projects from inception to completion.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of commercial reports.
  • Drive projects to deliver the best value solutions, on time and within budget.
  • Manage the commercial control of allocated divisions.
  • Lead the collation, review, and management of actions arising from monthly cost reviews.
  • Support and develop the commercial team, fostering continuous improvement and technical growth.
  • Ensure projects are closed out to the company's best commercial advantage.
  • Regularly review and improve business processes and working practices.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Ideal experience working with a Main Contractor or a specialist engineering contractor.
  • 8+ years of experience in a Commercial Manager role, ideally on large, fast-paced projects.
  • Mission-critical project experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing commercial teams.
