Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Orthotist to join our team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. As an Orthotist, you will play a vital role in providing a high-quality clinical orthotic service to patients, incorporating assessment, measurement, fitting, and review based on current good practice and evidence-based orthotic treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide a high-quality clinical orthotic service.
  • Develop and promote the Orthotic Service in liaison with senior clinical staff.
  • Liaise with Consultants, Clinicians, Therapists, Orthotic colleagues, and managers as required to provide an efficient and effective Orthotic Service.
  • Contribute to the development of the service, working in line with national and local quality, productivity, and other development agendas.
  • Support the development of evidence-based practice through participation in new and innovative approaches to Orthotic practice.
  • Assist in the monitoring and purchase of stock/supplies, minimizing the supplier base and improving quality, as directed by the lead clinician.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in Orthotics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of current good practice and evidence-based orthotic treatment.
  • Ability to develop and promote the Orthotic Service.
