Building Safety Manager

Our client is a reputable Housing Provider based in North London, dedicated to providing excellent service to residents and ensuring their safety.
Job DescriptionThe Building Safety Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the compliance and safety of high-risk and complex buildings within the scope of legislation. Key responsibilities include:
Key Responsibilities- Managing and maintaining building safety cases to ensure compliance and safety.
- Working within the Competency Framework for Building Safety Managers to support the Accountable person as required.
- Maintaining golden thread digital information in a consistent format and ensuring it is up to date.
- Providing a clear route for residents, leaseholders, and internal stakeholders to raise building or safety-related concerns.
- Overseeing the implementation of corrective actions arising from fire risk assessments and audits.
- Ensuring on-site data within premise information boxes is accurate and up to date.
- Staying up to date with regulatory developments and best practice, including managing complex installs and upgrades of equipment.
- Collaborating with the wider compliance and asset team, and engaging with the development team.
The successful Building Safety Manager will possess:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to explain building safety issues clearly.
- Ability to compile detailed reports on building safety issues and present them to senior colleagues.
- Extensive knowledge of fire safety legislation and guidance, building regulations, and technical standards.
- Ability to manage team members, contractors, and consultants.
- Maintaining compliance by ensuring projects are completed in line with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Full UK clean driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
- NEBOSH Fire Safety or equivalent qualification.
- Level 4 diploma in Fire Safety.
- CIOB Level 6 Diploma in Building Safety Management (desirable).
