Role Description:

We are seeking skilled professionals to join our team in supporting learners with Emotional Behavioural or Mental Health Difficulties and/or Autistic Spectrum Disorders.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with students, providing individualized support and guidance to help them achieve their academic and personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver 1:1 or small group support for behavior management, emotional needs, mental health, or autism.
  • Assist with Individual Learning Plan (ILP) development, target setting, and preparing differentiated learning materials.
  • Support learners in accessing the curriculum, promoting independence, and fostering inclusion in all college activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of support activities and actively participate in planning and review meetings.
  • Facilitate exam access arrangements and provide comprehensive support across various learning environments.
  • Adhere to college policies and engage in ongoing professional development, including specialized training.
Qualifications:
  • A genuine passion for working with students and a commitment to their success.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • A*-C grades in Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • Proficiency in IT is advantageous.
