This is a fixed-term position until further notice.
The shift pattern is Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with occasional evening and weekend working required.
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our Health Improvement Team as a Health Improvement Lead. The post-holder will lead on the implementation of a new programme of work - Whole Family Wellbeing Fund in Primary Care (WFWFPC).
This programme, funded by the Scottish Government, will provide a range of family supports and wellbeing programmes to families within 11 GP practices in Glasgow city. The post-holder will be responsible for the effective operational management of the programme and will have a portfolio of health improvement programmes with the overall aim of improving health and reducing health inequalities in line with our strategic plan and other locally and nationally identified priorities.
The post-holder will influence and provide Health Improvement leadership within our organization and key partner agencies to contribute to the strategic development and implementation plans for a portfolio of health improvement work streams.
The successful applicant will demonstrate a strong commitment to improving health, reducing inequalities, and delivering better outcomes. They will have a track record of health improvement/public health experience, partnership working, operational management, and a good understanding of public health priorities and health inequalities.
The post-holder is expected to fulfill the Standards for Public Health Practice (Health improvement) at an Advanced level. This post will initially be hosted within our Northwest Health Improvement Team, although this may change.
