Job Title: SEN Teaching AssistantJob Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in providing individualized support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Student Learning: Assist students with SEN in a classroom environment, providing one-to-one or small group support to help them achieve their academic and personal goals.
  • Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs): Work closely with the class teacher to implement IEPs, ensuring that students receive tailored support to meet their unique needs.
  • Contribute to a Supportive Learning Environment: Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth for all students.
  • Monitor and Record Progress: Regularly monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and contributing to the development of IEPs.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, as well as relevant SEN training or experience.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, patience, empathy, and the ability to work well under pressure. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a classroom environment, supporting students with varying degrees of SEN. The working hours are typically school hours, Monday to Friday.
