Job Title: Electrical Workshop Engineer

The successful candidate will assist the Workshop Team Leader in ensuring the effective delivery of customer contractual requirements for all Part-145 C-rated electrical/avionic maintenance activities and Part-21 Electrical/Electronic manufacturing tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the overall performance of the Avionic Workshop, including safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Promote a "Just Culture" with regard to safety and reporting of occurrences within the business.
  • Liaise with other departments to achieve project delivery, including Design, Quality, Engineering Control, Logistics, and Aircraft Maintenance.
  • Certify electro/mechanical components within the scope of authorisations held under Part 145/ISO.
  • Certify Part 21 manufacturing within the scope of authorisations held.
  • Support the Engineering Control department with the development of route master documents for component rework.
  • Highlight tooling requirements to the Team Leader and assist with business case preparation for procurement.
  • Ensure test and ground support equipment is in a serviceable/calibrated condition before use.
  • Coordinate engineering activities to enable the team to complete tasks to target and within budget.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work environment.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience within aircraft maintenance Base/Workshops is desirable.
  • Apprenticeship or HM Forces equivalent training certification.
  • Previous working experience within an Aviation facility.
  • Extensive knowledge of Regulatory requirements related to aircraft maintenance is essential.
  • Proven ability to work and deliver to time pressure and deadlines using basic project management skills.

  • Medically fit to perform daily engineering duties, including detachment working.

Security cleared to meet current UK and ITAR requirements in support of the business.
